Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster.

Skulls & Blood!

Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster is third member of the Khorne's big daemons family on this blog. It is really cool model with the Bloodflail, Mighty Axe and hellfire under its hooves!

It was the first Bloodthirster I painted and one of most-used models in my Khorne battles in the last two years. A trained eye can even spot the damages it suffered during several unplanned landings on the floor ;)

This is one of the few Khorne units that have missile weapons. The Hellfire Breath (it is a pity that it was not shown on the model) is quite good as it deals D3 Mortal Wounds without any rolls, but only within 8" range. The Bloodflail (warning: plastic chain tends to break), if you succeed with to Hit and to Wound rolls and the daemon is fully healthy, can deal 6 damages from one attack. It can be great tool to snipe small foe heroes within 12".

Another, even better thing, is its Rune-crown which allows to unbind spells with +2 bonus to the unbinding rolls. And this can help a lot in some situations on the table.

But the main reason to include WoK in a Khorne army is its Command Ability. The Lord of the Blood Hunt CA allows one, selected Khorne Daemon unit within 16" to run and charge in the same turn and adds 1" to its run and charge rolls.

This ability gives Khorne daemons possibility to make an alpha strike attack or to reach selected foe on the other part of a table. And it is even better in combo with Bloodstoker ability Whipped to Fury (+3" to move and charge on selected Khorne unit) since both add 4" to run and charge moves. Great addition from AoS 2.0 is possibility to spend Command Points to use this CA on as many units as the CPs you have.

To sum up, Wrath of Khorne Bloodthirster is a great support hero in a Khorne army due to its Unbind and Command Ability and it can provides even better support when equipped with proper artefact (e.g. Mark of the Slayer which allows to re-roll 1s to Hit and ,when charged, also 1s to Wound rolls for all Khorne daemon units within 8" - very useful for other big daemons nearby).

Happy Wrath to all of you ;)
